2 days to go until we make a stand for clean energy in Long Branch at our NJ Wind Works Rally: Harnessing the Wind for a Lasting Renewable Future!
Join Unitarian Universalists as we make a strong, boisterous, joyful noise in support of clean energy! RSVP below to let our Environmental Justice Task Force Chairs know you plan to attend.
Important reminders from our organizers:
- The meeting location is The Great Lawn at Beachfront North: 10 Ocean Ave North in Long Branch. Check out our parking information and logistics hub. The Great Lawn is situated between Ocean Place and Rooney’s Restaurant.
-
Bring masks—we will rally haze or shine! Due to unprecedented poor air quality, masks will be provided to best protect attendees. The haze we are experiencing in New Jersey from wildfires is exactly why we will be rallying to combat the severe impacts of climate change.
-
Bring water and signs! We will have white paper pinwheels for families to represent NJ’s clean energy future. (Sign slogan ideas include – clean energy now, climate action now, offshore wind for NJ.)
-
Bring at least 1-2 friends or family members so that we can show up strong
-
Arrive early as the event programming will begin promptly at 12 PM.
-
Be prepared for an easy-paced, 20 minute march on the boardwalk.
- There are plenty of benches, but you may want to bring more comfortable (ie, beach) chairs.
We can not thank you enough for dedicating your time to make a stand for clean energy and a just transition away from dirty fossil fuels in New Jersey. Together, we are powerful.
It is shaping up to be an amazing day with great weather, music, and speakers!
