We are in a climate emergency, and right now two bills are under consideration in the New Jersey legislature that could make or break our state’s transition to clean energy.

The Clean Energy Standard bill (S2978/A4658) could move NJ onto 100% truly clean energy by 2035, if the right amendments are made to strengthen protections for clean air and environmental justice. Learn more here.
The Unaffordable Dirty Gas bill (A577/S1366) would give away billions in subsidies to the fossil fuel industry for dirty and expensive “renewable” natural gas, and it must be stopped. Learn more here.
On Monday, December 18th, we are anticipating legislative committee hearings on one if not both bills. Groups in opposition to offshore wind and clean energy plan to rally at the Statehouse that day—we need to be louder and stronger.
