This Friday, September 6th, 12-1 PM, join us for Action Hour! Our focus this month is on Immigration Justice, and we have several timely actions to share!
WHERE: On Zoom
WHEN: Friday, September 6th, 12 – 1 PM
WHAT: Immigration Justice!
Unanticipated ICE raids in Princeton, NJ this summer reminded us of the close-to-home impacts of national immigration policy and prejudice. That is why this Friday at noon, we will be taking action to advance immigration justice at the local, state, and federal level!
This Friday, learn about…
- reopening of the Delaney Hall ICE Detention Center in Newark
- reintroduction of the “Immigrant Trust Act” (formerly the “Values Act”) in the NJ legislature
- supporting the Keeping Families Together program
- ICE treatment of transgender and non-binary persons in detention
- Princeton officials speaking out against surprise ICE raids in their community
…and most importantly, learn how you can join with others to speak up and act out on these critical issues.
Join us this Friday, 12-1 PM, and bring a friend!
