FAIR (FaithAction Inclusivity Reps) Senior Send Off!

Our three FAIR leaders (from left to right: Cory Gregson/Summit, Zoe Laffler/Hunterdon Co. and Abigail Rabbitt/Newton) are graduating after three years of impressive anti-racism workshops and organizing among high school students in NJ and PA.

No surprise that all three have been hired as General Assembly Pittsburgh Youth staff—UU FaithAction NJ is so proud to have helped nurture their activism and UU identity!

“BIRTHING JUSTICE” Screening: An interfaith event for Reproductive Justice

The Reproductive Justice Task Force of UU FaithAction NJ is proud to be collaborating with Beacon UU and Fountain Baptist Church to sponsor a screening and discussion of the documentary BIRTHING JUSTICE.  We are proud to be a part of this interfaith collaboration, promoting community dialogue and advocacy around Black maternal health.

Calling You, yes, YOU!

By Rev. Charles Loflin, Executive Director

Over these last two years, one of the great opportunities my job as Executive Director for UU FaithAction NJ has been to meet with leaders of many of our coalition partners.  Personally, I find those moments of connection to be among the most rewarding aspects of social justice advocacy—those relationships are everything.  What makes me particularly proud is that on several occasions, some of those leaders have said, “Oh, we are so grateful for the UUs.  You’re the folks who show up!”

Now Hiring: Summer Intern

Are you, or do you know, a talented individual currently enrolled in bachelor’s or graduate program at an NJ college or university?  We are seeking an intern to help map, reorganize, and update pages on our website.  Our ideal candidate will be able to understand and articulate the UU FaithAction NJ vision and create web pages that reflect our core purpose.

Reproductive Justice Updates: March 2023

By Jami Thall, Reproductive Justice Task Force Co-Chair

As we all know, the only thing we know about reproductive justice, and in particular abortion access, in 2023 is that it is constantly changing at a mind-boggling pace.  We, and probably you too, are getting a lot of information all the time.  We hope you find the news, information and resources below helpful as you work with your individual reproductive justice committees and others.
