Murphy’s proposed budget includes much-needed revenue increases that help prevent devastating cuts to schools, transit, healthcare, and other critical services—but we need to go further. Without bold action, NJ faces more cuts that will hurt working families and make our state unaffordable for all but the wealthy. A strong state budget—rooted in progressive revenues—ensures we aren’t left scrambling when federal dollars disappear.
