This Sunday, we’ll examine economist and professor of public policy William Darity’s position on reparations , revisit the main points of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ article, The Case for Reparations (downloadable pdf: The Case for Reparations.pdf) and discuss any further points raised by participants. Then we’ll take a look at local, statewide, and national campaigns and discuss specific ways to support these efforts.
The New Jersey Institute for Social Justice is leading an interfaith coalition, including the Episcopal Diocese and Council of Imams (in NJ), as well as the Unitarian Universalist legislative arm, UUFA (Faith Action) that has been rallying for the passage of the NJ legislation.
