Grassroots organizing happens when everyday people come together to identify common problems faced by their community and work together to address the issue or advocate for change. This training will introduce you to grassroots organizing principles and strategies and walk you through creating a campaign plan to mobilize supporters and reach critical goals.
The Activist Training Program was launched in 2021 with the goal of providing free and nonpartisan public education and training on the knowledge and skills activists need to drive grassroots change and defend democracy.
LWVNJ offers training in 4 core areas:
- Understanding New Jersey Government
- Grassroots Organizing
- Voter Outreach
- Legislative Advocacy
These trainings are open to League members and members of the public who support the League’s mission and goals.
