Why: The Senate Budget Committee is holding a public hearing in Newark to discuss the next state budget. We will rally before the hearing to make sure our voices are all heard. We need fully funded schools with safe school buildings, dependable mass transit, affordable housing, childcare options, programs for our seniors, healthcare, and investments in clean energy. And we need sustainable, equitable sources of revenue to fund them. Step one is making sure that the state’s wealthiest corporations don’t get a $200 million tax cut.
