Out Montclair invites you to help us celebrate an extraordinary community-wide event: a daylong celebration to honor Transgender Day of Visibility on Saturday, April 1, 2023, between 1:00 – 6:00 pm. Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31st is an annual and global day of awareness designed to recognize and celebrate transgender people and youth, and commit to meeting the challenges the trans community faces. Out Montclair’s celebration on April 1st will provide the space and time to come together as a community, participate in conversations, and show up for our families, friends and neighbors. The event is free to the public and will be a safe space to enjoy music spun by DJ Jersey , comedy by Jaye McBride, the first openly transgender comedian to perform at Madison Square Garden, panel discussions with local transgender leaders, workshops and more to celebrate transgender people and raise awareness for the current struggles they face, including violence and discrimination.
