| What Is “The Reel Bash”?
This is a major “fun-raiser” for our congregation, where participation, contribution and engagement are welcome and encouraged. The Reel Bash, is a movie-themed event being held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with something for everyone: live music, a live auction and lots of opportunities (services, goods, events, experiences) to be raffled off during the course of the evening.
Please note – Childcare will not be available at UUCM for this event. However, our planning team will distribute a list of trusted providers for families who need this service for the night.
Luck of the Draw 6:00 – 9:00 PM
The event starts at 6PM in the Narthex – where members can pick up their pre-purchased raffle tickets and browse the prize displays in the Sanctuary thereafter, (see “how to purchase tickets” below).
Participants can enter their tickets to win multiple prizes in various categories – for a period of 3 hours until 9:00 PM that night. If, during your browsing experience – you ‘d like to purchase additional tickets, these will be available for purchase in the Narthex at full price. As you browse, you’ll have an opportunity to reconnect with friends and listen to live music played by our talented UUCM musicians.
Live Auction: 9:15 – 9:45 PM
Our live auction this year will feature two very coveted prizes: a “Custom Sermon” written by each of our Co-Ministers, and “Select Your Own Worship Song” which can be added to a scheduled sermon throughout the congregational year. This portion of the fundraiser will be held at Fletcher Hall, and desserts / drinks will be served at that time.
Live Drawing of Raffle Winners: 10:00 – 11:00 PM
Winners of physical raffle prizes (and single-winner services) will be drawn shortly after the live auction at Fletcher Hall. Winners announced during this segment are encouraged to take their winnings that evening, or will have the option to pick it up the following day after the service.
Winners of “group” prizes (such as parties, events or experiences) will be published via email before the end of that week (so, by Thanksgiving – all winners should know what they’ve won).
How do I purchase my raffle tickets today?
- Participation tickets can be purchased at a discount at Connection Café each Sunday for $$Cash, Personal Check or REALM payment (Credit Card). If members would like to purchase their tickets online directly, they can do so here as well: Purchase ONLINE here.
- Full priced tickets will be available for purchase in-person at the fundraiser, on November 18, 2023.
